Please pray for the Bickers as they
begin home schooling John, Sarah and Michael. Please pray for
peace in their home as they make this adjustment.
Monday, April 2:
Pray for
the Gestrings as they wait for answers concerning their future
missions ministry. They are looking at possible positions in the
CESA Region.
Tuesday, April 3:
Continue to
pray for Tom and Cindi as they continue in their Sesotho language
learning. Pray for understanding of the grammar as they go along.
Wednesday, April 4:
Please pray
for Wes as he completes the formatting on his final TEE book (Old
Testament – Part 1) for the Basotho. Pray that he will have no
difficulty training Mme Likhapha in how to format the TEE material
for the Basotho of Lesotho.
Thursday,
April 5:
Please be praying for the Dials housing
situation. There is reason to believe that the home they are in
will be sold shortly by the owners and suitable housing is very
difficult to come by in the mountains.
Friday,
April 6:
Many African churches hold conferences
over the Easter weekend. Please pray that truth will be taught to
those who attend conferences this weekend.
Saturday, April
7:
Please
continue to pray for political stability in Lesotho in this month
following the elections. Pray that now the elections are over
that the government would be diligent to encourage the economy in
a way that provides more jobs.

Please pray that the Basotho would be
able to say that they have seen the Lord.
Monday, April
9: Please pray for Eli and Zach Melvin as
they work on their school work today. Pray they will continue to
make friends and enjoy their new life in Maseru.
Tuesday, April 10:
Pray for the
Dials as they look toward their stateside assignment and time away
from Lesotho. Give them clarity as they complete all that must be
done as they prepare to head home.
Wednesday, April 11:
Today will be
the final time that Wes will meet with the TEE Committee of
Lesotho. Please pray for other Christian leaders to join the
Committee. Pray for the Committee as it transitions from a
translation committee to a course implementation committee.
Thursday, April 12:
Please pray for safety for the missionaries in our cluster as we
are all traveling over the next couple of days to attend our
annual training conference at Shelly Beach on the Indian Ocean.
Friday, April 13:
Please pray
for our leadership and missionaries over the weekend as we meet
and make plans together. Pray for unity of purpose to complete
the task that we have been called to.
Saturday, April 14:
Please pray
for the people of the mountain village of Ha Ramokoatsi. Alan and
Babs recently completed sharing the Gospel through a series of
Biblical stories. Pray that a church will result from the time
and faithfulness of their labor in this village.
Sunday, April 15:
Give praise for
the Open Bible Baptist Church as it begins its fourth month in
Bohlokong. Thank the Lord for the new believers who have been
added on a weekly basis.
Monday, April 16:
Pray for the
Melvins as they are constantly adjusting to moving in and out of
their new environment due to various meetings and conferences.
Pray that they will have patience with the Basotho and one
another.
Tuesday, April
17:
Pray for the
mountain valley of Ha Seshote. The Dials have had the opportunity
to share the Gospel in all but two villages in this valley. Pray
for their plans to return to these villages and that a church
planting movement would take hold in the valley.
Wednesday, April 18:
Please pray
that many would attend the weekly Bible study in Bohlokong
township. The study was started by Moruti Selepe to reach people
who were unable to attend church on Sundays due to work.
Thursday, April 19:
Please pray
for the volunteers from Buck Run Baptist Church in Kentucky as
they meet together in preparation to spend time among the Basotho
of South Africa. Pray that all the details of their travel will
be easily worked out.
Friday, April 20:
Pray for Wes
today as he meets with Ntate and Mme Mokhathi to study the TEE
course, “Life of Christ – Part 2.” Pray that the Mokhatis will
make what they are learning a part of their every day lives.
Saturday, April 21:
Please pray
for the team from Georgia that will come in May to work in the
mountains of Lesotho. Pray that they would be used strategically
to evangelize and disciple new believers.
Sunday, April 22:
Please pray
for the spiritual discipline for each of our team members as it is
easy to become caught up in the work and neglect our own
relationship with the Lord.
Monday, April 23:
Pray for the
Dials, Melvins and Gestrings as they travel the narrow and poorly
paved roads of Lesotho.
Tuesday, April 24:
In the
village of Ha Romokoatsi, a small boy of about 5 years of age is
being trained in the Sangoma (witch doctor) ways and practices
because the badimo (ancestor spirits) revealed it to the boy’s
father in a dream. Pray for this child that God would powerfully
speak to his father in dreams and visions to release his son from
this satanic hold. Pray that salvation comes to this family, to
this village and to the nation of Lesotho.
Wednesday, April 25:
Pray for
Jordan, Bethany and Michelle as they are beginning to wind down
their school year for the final time in Lesotho. Pray for
wonderful blessings on them even as they say good-bye to their
friends.
Thursday, April 26:
Pray for
Beth, Cindi, Babs and Carla as they join this coming week with
missionary women from the region for a Women’s Conference. They
will be traveling to Kenya.
Friday, April 27:
Pray for
Chief Hutto of the Khohlo-Ntso village that he will come to know
the Christ of the cross and the resurrection. Pray that he will
lead his people out of spiritual darkness into the light of
spiritual truth in Christ.
Saturday, April 28: Please
pray for the volunteer mission team from Fall Creek Baptist in
Kentucky that will come this winter (summer in the U.S.) to work
among the Basotho of South Africa.
Sunday, April 29:
Please pray
for the upcoming 40/40 (cultural training) that will be held in
May in Zambia and attended by the Melvin family.
Monday, April 30:
Pray for the
volunteers from the Winston Baptist Association of Alabama as they
prepare to return for the second year to work with Basotho of
South Africa.
