GO...

The past month has been full of opportunities.... opportunities to learn, opportunities to minister, and opportunities to share Christ with people in Zambia and Lesotho. We have learned about African culture and Africans in general. We have visited African homes, helped rebuild grain bins, shelled groundnuts, harvested sunflowers, and visited people dying with AIDS.

Our girls have drawn water from a well, shared tea on a reed mat with an African family, and slept in a thatched roof hut. This past week they rode their first Basotho pony. The highlight of the month was our arrival in the Maluti Mountains. The mountains are bigger and more beautiful than we ever imagined. Our team leaders took us to a place on top of one of the mountains that overlooks the valley leading to Mokhotlong. It was here that they have prayed for a family to minister in the Mokhotlong region. God has answered. We will travel to Mokhotlong in mid-June to begin to look for housing for our family. We met a local chief that is from the same clan that lives in Mokhotlong. He will travel with us to introduce us to the chief in Mokhotlong. Please pray for us as we go....

PRAISE…

Jason graduated from Missouri State University!

We survived our 40/40 cultural training. in Zambia.

God continues to keep us healthy.

The girls are adjusting well to the culture and love their time spent in the villages.

We have both received our "Basotho Names". We’ll tell you what they are as soon as we can pronounce and spell them! :)

We are now ready to begin our language training.

We have a new house helper, Me Thato, a 24 year old Basotho woman living in Katse Village.

PRAYER…

We are now ready to begin our language training. Pray for Ntate Edward, our language tutor. He has his work cut out for him!

Pray for a suitable house in the Mokhotlong region. We feel that God may move us away from the actual town of Mokhotlong and out among the people of the villages.

Pray that God would send volunteer teams to help us take Christ to the mountains.

Pray about how YOU can be involved.
