Hi to everyone!
We are in Lesotho,
Africa and God is REALLY GOOD! We had absolutely NO difficulties in our
travel and even arrived with all 23 pieces of luggage and bags.
We arrived at he airport in Jo'Burg and were welcomed by the Dial
family. They had signs made and gave all us girls beauftiful flowers.
They are a precious family and have taken such good care of us. We then
went to the Baptist mission in Jo'Burg for rest and more orientation.
Jimmy has taken his driving lessons and we are still alive! He is doing
a great job...the only problem he has is that every time he wants to put
the turn signal on he turns on the windshield wipers. (they are on
opposite sides of the steering wheel here) The girls love it! Today we
go to the embassy and apply for our VISA. Please pray that all goes
well. We will be here about 2 weeks at "Melvin's Place" I love
Melvin. We will then go to Jo'Burg for a week of meetings and then fly
to Zambia for cultural orientation.
God has confirmed
over and over again that this is exactly where we should be. When we
were about to cross the border into Lesotho, Alan stopped and we all got
out of our cars. Looking over the city of Maseru, we were overwhelmed
with God's plan and His provision. He has been so faithful. He has
provided for all our needs. He continues to speak to our hearts about
the Basotho. You would not believe the beauty of this place.
We have met many
missionaries since we have been here. They are all full of grace and
kindness. They have a passion for the job that God has called them
to. We had dinner last night with Larry and Sally Pepper. They are the
newest members of our team, next to us. He is the new director for the
Lesotho Flying Doctors.
This week Jimmy and
I are going to fly with Mission Aviation Fellowship over the mountains
of Lesotho. My heart beats really fast just thinking about that. I
can't wait!
Well, I wish had
more time to write, but need to get. We are safe, rested, healthy, and
full of joy. We miss you all very much, but know that this is what God
requires of us for this time in our life. We look forward to some of
you coming to Lesotho and helping us share the message of Jesus in the
mountains. Please continue to pray for
God's wisdom and direction for our family. Pray for safety and health.
Pray for language learning. And most of all, when you pray
tonight...Give God glory and praise for all the answered prayers ...for
He is worthy of ALL glory.
Love to all, Jim
and Teresa...and girls

Hi to All of You,
In 10 days we will
board our plane headed for Africa. There are a few things that we would
really like for you to pray with us about. We cannot do the things that
God has called us to do without all of you praying. We can't wait until
we get to Lesotho and can actually send you a note from there. Please
pray for the following things:
1. This
Thursday we have our last "big" project. We will be going to Washington
DC for our evangelism emphasis. We were asked to identfiy a people
group to focus on and our team has chosen the Ethiopian people.
Washington has actually been called "Little Ethiopia" because of the
large population living there. We will prayerwalk the city and try to
find people that we can share Christ with. Please pray that God opens
the necessary doors, that we will bold in our witness, and that He will
receive the glory for our efforts.
2.
We leave the ILC next Thursday morning for Richmond Airport. Our plane
leaves at 12:26pm. Please pray that our travel will be safe, that
we will have no trouble clearing immigration and security, and that all
of our bags arrive when we do. Our flight from here to Detroit willl be
3 hours then to Amsterdam will be about 8 hours. From Amsterdam to
Jo'Berg is a 10 hour flight. Pray that our girls will make it without
any issues. (us too)
3. We will be
in Jo'Berg for 3 days learning how to drive on the opposite side of the
road, we will receive more orientation (pray that our saturated brains
can absorb it) and will do our embassy stuff.
4. Pray for
us as we move into a Bed and Breakfast in Maseru with a man named
Melvin.
5. Finally,
pray that we stay healthy. There has been SO much sickness floating
around the quads and fortunately we haven't had any real sickness yet.

faithfully. We are thankful that God has chosen you to go to the Maluti
Mountains alongside of the Floras.

Only 3 more weeks and we are on our way to Africa! It is hard to
believe that all of our "waiting" is about to come to an end. We will
then begin the next part of the journey that will lead us to Mokhotlong,
Lesotho and the Basotho people. We have a few more things to learn
before we leave Richmond-
