Therefore
we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our
inner man is being renewed day by day.

Dear Family and Friends,
Since you last heard from us, we have definitely been
"on the move." Thank you for remembering us in prayer. Our first term in
Lesotho is quickly coming to a close. These past few months have focused
on bringing the lowlands ministry to a place where nationals can carry
on and reproduce what they have learned. This has been our greatest
desire and challenge.
Pray that
pastors, leaders, and church members will trust the Holy Spirit to
empower them to make disciples.
"God is an awesome God that he can use just plain old
people like our team to do wonderful things for Him."
This is a quote from a team member
who recently served in Lesotho. Volunteers from VA, OK, and TX arrived
in June to help with evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training.
They shared the love of Christ with the Basotho and have
made a difference for eternity.
Pray that the
teaching and training done by the volunteers will encourage and give
confidence to nationals who will share what they learned with the
faithful who will share with others.
Pray that the love of
Christ shown to men, women, and children will point many lives to the
Hope of Glory.
As we put the final touches on our stateside calendar,
we look forward to seeing and meeting with many of you. Your prayer
support throughout the past three years have encouraged and sustained
our family and the ministry in the lowlands. Thank you for partnering
with the Basotho team in such a powerful way. May God bless you as you
continue to pray for the nations.
Prayer requests:
• Pray for us as we prepare, pack, and ponder
our return to the U.S.
• Pray for Zachary as he prepares to enter college.
• Pray for us to balance the busyness of July with
good family time as we come close to the end of our first term.
• Pray for God to use us every day as we prepare
to leave Lesotho.

Class of 2009 Announces the graduation
of Zachary Thomas Melvin from Machabeng International College of Lesotho
May 22, 2009 Maseru, Lesotho
Zachary will attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA,
leaning towards a major in Computers/Information Technology.
Eli completed 9th grade at Machabeng on July 3. He will
attend Dinwiddie High School, his mom’s alma mater, while we are in the
U.S.
Both boys have been forever changed by their
international experience. Their world is much smaller as they now have
personal friends from six continents. They have grown in their faith and
served God through their participation in international and youth praise
and worship groups. They are looking forward to reconnecting with family
and friends at home and eating Mexican food.
Tom and Cindi celebrated their 28th Anniversary on June
28. It is amazing how fast the years have gone. We are a blessed family.
